 Fees and Charges
We encourage patients to discuss fees with a member of our office staff prior to initiating treatment. We are as concerned as everyone about the rising cost of medical care and must meet increasing expenses for services and supplies charged by our suppliers as well.
Payment Methods
Payment for office services is requested on the day of the service. In cases where treatment of surgery results in large expenses, our staff will help patients file insurance claims at no charge.
Surgical Fees
Surgical fees cover charges for the surgical procedure and post-operative hospital and office visits for an average 90 day period. Surgical fees do not include hospital or outpatient facility charges, anesthesiology charges, and initial office consultations, emergency room visits subsequent to missed appointments, consultations or second opinions. Charges for x-rays, supplies, cast applications and casting supplies, or orthopaedic softgoods are also not included in post-operative follow-up care.
Workers Comp
We are very proud to offer comprehensive workers’ comp services to our patients who have injuries while on the job. We have a long history of successful intervention and have established excellent rapport with our patient’s Rehabilitation Professionals who participate in optimizing the safe return of our patients to work. Insurance
Guilford Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center works with most major insurance companies. For your convenience, we will be happy to submit claims to your insurance carrier and we accept fee assignment of Medicare claims. A patient is responsible for any fees not paid by their insurance company or Medicare. Contact our Insurance Department at 336-275-3325 for additional insurance questions.
